A Night with the Fireflies

Early summer in Maine is one of my favorite times of the year. There is a field not far from my home where these fireflies are particularly active. Camping with them nearby is such a magical experience.

This painting utilizes a fluorescent paint that is clear when the lights are on, but glows softly after the lights go off.  The view of my favorite field outside of a tent.
